Custom Orders

Ludo Lamp will consider custom orders if they meet minimum requirements. Please contact the Sales Department should you require something to be made custom. Please keep in mind to order attic stock, as replacement parts may not be available at a later date due to the custom nature.

Order procedure

All orders must be in writing. Order confirmation is based upon information provided in the purchase order. Confirmations are inclusive of products, cartoning, shipping charges and applicable taxes.

Terms

Standard terms are 50% deposit; balance due prior to ship.

Invoicing

An invoice is forwarded three to four weeks prior to scheduled ship date and includes the following information:

1. Restatement of order confirmation 3. Required balance to be paid in full

2. Affirmation of scheduled ship date 4. Freight charges, if applicable

Finance Charges

A finance charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to all overdue invoices.

Lamping

All products are priced without lamping (bulbs) unless indicated otherwise.

Change Orders

Change orders must be received in writing and are subject to review and approval. Orders will be reconfirmed with applicable charges.

Freight

Merchandise is shipped freight collect unless indicated and other arrangements are made. Third party or prepaid freight options are available; please consult our Shipping Department.

Freight Claims & Damages

All products are inspected prior to shipping. Consignee is responsible for any freight damage, loss or shortages. Consignee should immediately inspect all merchandise carefully and make claims for damage directly to the carrier. All freight Claims must be settled between consignee and the carrier according to applicable laws and regulations.

Shipments of Items Fragile in Nature

Ludo Lamp recommends all items that are fragile in nature be shipped via an air ride equipped carrier rather than common carrier. All freight quotations from Ludo Lamp will be made on the basis of an air ride equipped trailer. Should the client request common carrier for such merchandise, client shall sign and acknowledge Ludo Lamp recommendations to the contrary (all freight claims shall be handled as detailed above).

Lead Time

Lead time begins from the date of credit release, which includes but is not limited to receipt of signed purchase order and deposit (if required). As all merchandise is made to order we encourage customers to keep in mind the estimated lead times quoted.

Shop Drawings

In the event that shop drawings are required, the lead time will commence from the receipt of the signed and approved shop drawings. One revision is allowed per item, subsequent revisions will be charged at $75.00 per hour. No shop drawings will be submitted for our catalog items.

Interpretation

Pricing is based upon Ludo Lamp’s interpretation of photo, sketch or drawings that client submits. Ludo Lamp reserves the right to make product enhancements and modifications to its cataloged products along with to specifications and details provided by clients submittals without notice in order to conform to regulations or to improve design.

Cartoning/Packaging

5% charge will be added to invoice total for all cartoning charges.

Expediting Charge

A minimum of 25% will be added to rush orders.

Installation

Ludo Lamp is a manufacturer and is not responsible for installation.

Storage

Orders not picked up within a reasonable time of the due date indicated on our ship date notification notice will be subject to additional storage charges and handling fees. If a customer requests a delay of a shipping date on an order already in production, the order will be invoiced upon completion. The invoice must be paid under the terms established. In addition, there may be a storage charge incurred, which must be paid prior to shipping the merchandise.

Returns

All products are made to order; therefore we cannot accept returns of shipped goods. However return authorizations will be granted for warranty claims or incorrect shipment of merchandise.

Warranty

We, the employees of Ludo Lamp take great pride in our quality and workmanship. Therefore, we are confident to provide you our valued Customer, the confidence that Ludo Lamp will stand behind and warrant our product 100% in the case of defects in product quality.

However, there are often extenuating circumstances and conditions that will lead to the following exceptions:

• The warranty lasts for a period of One Year from the date of invoice. This is considered the warranty period. This warranty is not transferable and will terminate if the product is sold or transferred.
• If within the warranty period your product should display defects in the overall performance or appearance, Ludo Lamp will, at our option, repair or replace the merchandise to the original specification.
• This warranty is void if damage is a result of freight, or a failure caused by unreasonable or abusive acts, improper care and/or cleaning, normal wear, fading or stretching of fabrics and vinyl, and acts of God.

Claims related to defects in product quality need to be initiated within the warranty period with the authorized party in which the product was initially acquired, or you may call the Ludo Lamp customer service department direct at (323) 278-8363 for further information on how to process the claim. Ludo Lamp reserves the right to examine all products claimed to be defective. Upon approval of claim, Ludo Lamp will authorize repair or replacement of the defective merchandise. No returns shall be accepted without a return authorization.
